Free fundraising event at Outlets at Anthem’s Shopping Extravaganza

ANTHEM – Outlets at Anthem invites local nonprofits to apply now for the 2018 Shopping Extravaganza retail philanthropy event. Nonprofit organizations in the greater Phoenix area searching for a unique way to raise money are invited to apply now through June 8 to participate.

Nonprofits that take part in Shopping Extravaganza will sell event tickets to friends, families, stakeholders and community partners. Nonprofits that are selected are responsible for selling at least 100 event tickets priced at $25 each before the Oct. 6 event. For every ticket sold, the nonprofit keeps $15.

“Shopping Extravaganza is one of our most anticipated and exciting shopping events of the year,” said Christina Henning, general manager and marketing director, Outlets at Anthem.

Ticket holders are then invited to visit the Outlets at Anthem from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 6 and use their tickets to receive exclusive discounts and offers, a free lunch as well as wine and chocolate tastings. Ticket holders are also eligible to win more than $30,000 in gift card prizes through various on-site prize drawings.

 

This is the second year Soroptimist International of Saguaro Foothills, a global volunteer movement dedicated to women and girls around the world, is participating in the event. We’re so thankful to the community for the outpouring of support they have provided year after year and look forward to making this the best event yet!”

 

“Last year we sold the most tickets of all of the nonprofits and had the most people attend the event which earned us a bonus $500 donation from the Outlets,” said Carolyn Lutz, Soroptimist International representative.

 

The Outlets at Anthem provides all promotional materials and expertise to help organizations sell tickets and raise awareness about their own philanthropic cause. In 2017, the event raised more than $50,000. In the last 13 years, the event has raised roughly $450,000 in charitable funds.

“The Outlets at Anthem marketing team makes this an easy fundraising opportunity. They are very organized and it isn’t a lot of work for our volunteers to do. Last year our club members and guests had a great time at the Shopping Extravaganza event and everyone is looking forward to attending again in October!” Lutz said.

 

Outlets at Anthem is currently accepting applications from 501(c)(3) designated groups that are interested in participating in this unique event. Qualifying organizations can request an application from Carrie Fortezzo at cfortezzo@outletsanthem.com. There is no fee to become a charity partner. Space is limited and the deadline to submit completed applications is Friday, June 8.
