The Festival, presented by Camp Verde Promotions and the Town of Camp Verde, is a combination of several events rolled into one: the Pecan and Wine Festival, craft fair, Archeological Center and a host of activities surrounding the Arizona State Park.
Admission to the Festival events and the Archaeological Center is free. Charges will apply for wine tastings, and the Fort Verde State Historical Park.
However, if you stop by the Camp Verde Promotions Booth on the Soccer Field, you can pick up a $1 off Admission Coupon to the park, which is an authentic original 1860s military fort. Several of the original buildings are still existing and have authentic exhibits in each of them.
The Pecan and Wine Festival has been around since 2013 and is held annually on the third weekend in March. It features the choicest product of the vintner’s art from 19 of the Verde Valley’s premier wineries.
There is a charge for wine tasting that will give you sample tickets and a commemorative wine glass that is yours to keep.
In addition, there will be approximately 40 vendors, which includes a variety of food and other various products, along with musical entertainment.
A craft fair with approximately 40 crafters will be held in the gym on both days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The local historical society will open the historic 1933 Camp Verde Jail, the 1917 George Hance House and the Camp Verde Historical Museum.
The Festival is a family event designed to celebrate all the good things that make Camp Verde and the Verde Valley such a great place to stay and play.
