Married for 18 years with children ranging from 14 to two years of age, the idea for the business grew out of a love for God’s word and chocolate.
The local couple says after Edmundo experienced a company-wide layoff in 2014, it was clear to the couple that God was encouraging them to step out into the unknown and trust Him for their next move.
The two began to seek ways they could merge God’s promises with chocolate as a business.
The dream of starting a chocolate business didn’t happen overnight. Over the next four years, Edmundo and Amanda had faith and worked hard to make their vision become a reality.
Just recently launched, Promise Chocolates is filled with more than just delicious sweets – they’re filled with an encouraging word to inspire all those who receive it.
Each box comes with at least one of their Signature Hollow Chocolates that has a random scripture inside, and the Osorio’s believe that the Holy Spirit will deliver each promise to the intended receiver.
“We’ve experienced firsthand how resting on God’s promises bring a greater level of hope, peace, and faith to anyone that will lay hold of His truth,” Amanda said. “Our mission is to share more than our delicious, creamy chocolate. We want to share hope by sharing precious promises from God’s word.”
Promise Chocolates offers several different types of chocolates including: milk cream; dark cream; milk with nuts; dark cream with nuts; reduced fat in milk and dark chocolate; sea salt caramel; truffle; and their signature collection Promise Hollows.
