New River philanthropists donate to Sunshine Acres children’s home

NEW RIVER – The New River chapter of Delta Theta Tau, a local philanthropic sorority, recently presented a $2,000 check to the Sunshine Acres in Mesa, which is a Christian children’s home.

Delta Theta Tau, which is a national sorority started in Indiana in 1903, donates all their fundraising money to charitable organizations.

This donation will help support Sunshine Acres mission to provide a home for children that are separated from their parents and help them establish long-term relationships with stable parental figures, preparing them for success as an adult.

“We appreciate everyone that has donated to our fundraisers over the past 20 years and we are happy to help the children of Sunshine Acres,” MJ Litz, the president of the local Delta Theta Tau chapter stated in a press release.
