DVUSD announces free event with internationally recognized youth speaker

PHOENIX – The Deer Valley School District (DVUSD) announced that Rick Miller, the founder of Kids at Hope will speak to the community on December 3, at 6 p.m. at the district office.

Miller is internationally recognized for delivering powerful messages about the importance of hope for youth. His organization empowers organizations to transform their cultures through professional, personal and volunteer development workshops, seminars, institutes and classes, according to the Kids at Hope website.

Miller believes that all children are capable of success on their own terms with the support of community and enhancement programs.

The event is open to staff, parents and any community members who want to attend. There will be community resources available after the speech that include The Meadows Ranch, Transitions Counseling, Quail Run and Teen Lifeline.
