Lesko, who is up for re-election this November and is running against political newcomer Hiral Tipireneni (D), toured Boulder Creek High School (BCHS) in Anthem, which is part of the Deer Valley Unified School District.

She heard BCHS’s nationally recognized choir during her tour of the school’s music department.

The U.S. Congresswoman also went to Peoria Traditional School and recited the Pledge of Allegiance with students outside, and then observed reading and math classrooms.

“Arizona’s Eighth District schools are some of the best,” said Lesko. “During my visits, I was continually impressed by students, teachers and administrators.”
