ProMusica Arizona awarded grant from Arizona Commission on the Arts

ANTHEM – ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra (PMAZ) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $5,500 grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts, the state arts agency. This grant will help support PMAZ’s upcoming 16th performance season.

 

Arts Commission grants are awarded through a competitive public panel process. This grant signifies that ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra provides programs of high artistic quality, serves the needs of the community, and demonstrates administrative ability, as well as meeting other criteria. This grant is made possible through funding from the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts.

 

PMAZ’s season line-up includes:

  • Broadway, Beatles and Blues Selections by Broadway greats, a medley of “Fab Four” tunes, and quintessential blues pieces.

Saturday, Nov. 3, 7:30 p.m. — Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Anthem

Sunday, Nov. 4, 3:00 p.m. — American Lutheran Church, Sun City

  • It’s Christmas! — Traditional, classical, contemporary, and whimsical holiday music.

Friday, Dec. 7, 7:30 p.m. — American Lutheran Church, Sun City

Saturday, Dec. 8, 4:00 pm. — Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Anthem

Sunday, Dec. 9, 4:00 p.m. — All Saints Lutheran Church, Phoenix

  • Mountain Days: The John Muir Musical in Concert The magnificent life story of naturalist John Muir, one of the early founders of the National Park System.

Saturday, March 23, 7:30 p.m. — Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Anthem

Sunday, March 24, 3:00 p.m. — American Lutheran Church, Sun City
