New River woman pleads guilty in child pornography case

PHOENIX – A 28-year-old New River woman recently pleaded guilty in a Maricopa County Superior Court to charges of creating and selling sexually explicit videos of children.

Keri Harwood originally pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her after she was arrested in August 2017.

However, on July 25 she changed her plea to guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of attempted sexual conduct with a minor.

Law enforcement first received a tip about Harwood from a friend who had access to her email account and discovered the illegal videos that allegedly record her touching children inappropriately, according to officials.

Harwood will be in court for sentencing on August 22.
