Restaurant start: April 2008, eight month in their new location

Specialties including dishes and drinks: Home cooking like you wish your mother used to make. Breakfast is our most popular, fluffy biscuits with country sausage gravy, smothered eggs with chunky green pork chili, rustic sausage pie, omelets, all served with roasted yams and golden potatoes. Lunch, bistro sandwiches and fresh salads like the strawberry chicken salad, grilled chicken breast, strawberries, goat cheese and almonds on a bed of baby greens and strawberry balsamic vinaigrette. Homemade pies.

Other highlights: Order either take-out or dine in for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Catering, from elegant fine dinning to backyard barbecue Heart & Soul Bakery Café can create a menu for any event. The café is also available for evening parties.
Heart and Soul Café features a ’57 Chevy in the middle of the dining area.
The restaurant will have a special Mother’s Day menu with dinner served from 4 – 8 p.m.

This summer the restaurant will be feature weekend barbeques on the patio beginning at 4 p.m. Friday – Sunday. Along with ribs, half chickens, hamburgers, salmon and all the fixings Barbecuties will be on hand to serve drinks from the full service bar.

Regular hours: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday – Saturday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday

History: Duncan and Bryson live in the area and longed for a good place to go for breakfast and lunch. It was a dream of both of them to open a little cafe. The duo pride themselves on good basic home cooking, good service and an overall good feeling at a fair price. .
