YCSO seeking suspects in rash of Black Canyon City tire slashings

BLACK CANYON CITY – On the morning of Nov. 4, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated several reports of tire slashings in Black Canyon City. Victim locations included the 34000 block of South Golden Lane, 19000 block of E. K-Field Road, 34000 block of South Vladimir Street, and the 34300 block of Old Black Canyon Highway. No suspects were identified at that time.

Deputies have been on the lookout ever since and following up on leads when available without success. In most cases, several vehicles had tires slashed at each location. One of the victims lost a day of work because he was unable to drive his car due to the damage.

Recently, deputies were provided a video by the Frontier Movers business on E K-Field Road; the video shows two suspects slashing tires while another waits nearby, just out of view, YCSO reported. The video time stamp indicates 12:58 a.m. on Nov. 4. The video quality and clothing worn by the suspects makes it difficult to provide detailed descriptions.

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with information to contact YCSO at (928) 771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1(800) 932-3232. If a tip to Silent Witness leads to an arrest in this case, the caller will be eligible for a cash reward. Refer to case number 17-039428.
