Rural Metro continues to seek donations for toy drive

CAVE CREEK – The Rural Metro Fire Department is continuing to seek donations for their annual toy drive. They’re currently on track to have a record-breaking year of donations.

Donated toys and funds will go to local families in need, helping kids in the community have a fun and happy Christmas.

“We have collected hundreds of toys thanks to the caring generosity of the Carefree and Cave Creek community. Additionally, we have received almost $3,000 in cash donations,” Shawn Gilleland, Public Information Officer for the Rural Metro Fire Department, said.

Gilleland encouraged local residents to continue donating to help local families. Donations can be dropped off at the Carefree and Cave Creek Rural Metro Fire Stations; crews will also be at local stores accepting donations.

“Our deepest thanks to everyone who reached into their hearts and pockets to help,” Gilleland emphasized.
