HonorHealth holds open house to discuss proposed Anthem medical facility

ANTHEM – As the north valley’s population has increased, so has the need for medical services nearby. HonorHealth is considering building a 27,135 sq. ft. medical center on Venture Dr. in Anthem. The project was discussed at an HonorHealth open house meeting at the Anthem Civic Building last week.

The health center would offer primary care services and other specific healthcare services, including an immediate care facility. Currently, HonorHealth Health Center – Anthem is in the planning stages. According to representatives at the open house, HonorHealth is now seeking community input on the project before purchasing the property necessary for the construction. Additional meetings to discuss the proposed health center will likely be held.

HonorHealth already offers healthcare services in Anthem, including an immediate care facility. The proposed new health center would help reduce wait times there and accommodate more patients, as well as offer some new services. Healthcare options being considered include CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other advanced diagnostic services, an infusion/observation unit, and a sports medicine center. Extended hours and walk-in service would be available for some services.

The Anthem health center, if built, would join five other Valley HonorHealth health centers. The Anthem facility is anticipated to be similar to the HonorHealth health center on W Bell Rd., in Glendale.

If all goes well through the planning stages, HonorHealth Health Center – Anthem is expected to open in autumn 2017, according to information presented at the open house last week.
