Carefree Fine Art & Culinary Experience to run this weekend
CAREFREE – Looking for something fun and relaxing to do this weekend? Head over the Carefree Fine Art & Culinary Experience, starting Friday, Nov. 20 and running through Sunday, Nov. 22.
Enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful Carefree Desert Gardens and sample exceptional culinary creations and fine wines. Featured artists will have unique works available for display and sale, and live entertainment will be provided by Bluesman Mike Andersen and The Blues Review Band, Inka Gold, Tony Duncan, Estun-bah, and the colorful yellow-bird dancers. The Carefree Art & Culinary Experience is being presented by Vermillion Promotions.
Among the featured artists are Marilyn Endres and Eucled Moore, a creative pair whose most recent works include a collaboration of segmented wood turning, creating vessels by gluing different colored woods together into intricate patterns, then refining the shape on a lathe. Some of the more complex designs have thousands of individual segments accurately glued into position. They utilize only the natural colors of the woods. As many as 60,000 glass European beads have been inlaid one at a time to create the colorful imagery on some of the vessels.
Juried fine artists and craftsmen from across the Southwest will also be exhibiting original works in a wide variety of medium and subject matter, including paintings, sculptures in bronze, stone, glass, metal, wood, mixed media, fine photography, jewelry, leather apparel, and exquisite handcrafted home décor, including holiday items.
The Carefree Fine Art & Culinary Experience will run 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Nov. 20-22. Admission and parking are free. The Carefree Desert Gardens are located at 100 Easy St., in Carefree.
