Reward offered for information in northwest Phoenix robbery


PHOENIX – A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of an armed robber who robbed the Walgreens at 6640 West Happy Valley Rd., in northwest Phoenix. Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information in the case.

According to information from Silent Witness, on Oct. 11, at 5:29 p.m., the suspect entered the store and waited for customers to leave. The suspect approached the sales counter and handed the clerk two sales items, which the clerk rang up, and the suspect handed the victim cash. The victim opened the cash register, and the suspect demanded all the money from the register. The clerk looked up and the suspect had his right hand under his shirt, holding an unknown object pointed at the clerk. The clerk provided money to the suspect, who fled the store, and headed westbound on Happy Valley Rd.

The suspect is described as 50-year-old white male, about 5’8” and 150 lbs. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a red Cardinals hat and shirt. His vehicle is described as a black, 2000s model Chevy Tahoe with a slight lift.
