Merrill Gardens hosting First Responders Appreciation Breakfast

ANTHEM – Local first responders will be the guests of honor at an Appreciation Breakfast hosted by Merrill Gardens at Anthem on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The community is invited to attend and show their support for these hardworking first responders.

Martha Thompson, Merrill Gardens Community Relations Director, said invitations have been sent to first responders from Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Daisy Mountain Fire Department, and Phoenix Police Department.

“We wanted to give back and show our appreciation to the first responders in Anthem and the area that give tirelessly of themselves each and every day,” Thompson said.

Thompson noted that breakfast event runs 7-9 a.m. and that participants can arrive anytime during that timeframe.

“We understand that they have unpredictable and hectic schedules and want to accommodate that,” Thompson said.

The community is welcome to come by and share in the meal; RSVPs are requested by Nov. 12 and can be made by calling (623) 565-9887.

Merrill Gardens residents have held several community events, recently providing financial support for hurricane victims through a benefit lunch with proceeds going towards those in need after the devastating hurricanes that took place earlier this year. The spirit of giving back is a vital part of the retirement community.

“Merrill Gardens is a family owned company whose mission ‘is to provide an inspiring environment for our residents, families and team members where every life is defined by the possibilities’,” Thompson said. “We truly believe this and adhere to this mission in all aspects of being in the community.”
