BCC Community Library holding November Book Sale

11/08/17

BLACK CANYON CITY – Attention all book-lovers! It’s time again for Black Canyon City Community Library’s November Book Sale!

The library has paperbacks and VHSs for a dime, kids’ hardbacks and CD music/books for a quarter, and adult hardbacks and DVDs for 50 cents. You can also pick up a snazzy BCC Community Library book bag for $4 to put all your new treasures in. The sale will be going on all month, as usual, but this time the sale books are spread throughout the library sections, so there will be no interruption to normal programming. That means Beginners Yoga, which is five times a week, won’t be stuck in the back room for the month – yay!

The Library is hosting a wide variety of programs this month. Weekly programs include Storytime for the kids every Tuesday at 10 a.m., Al Anon and “The Stitching Hour”, the library’s sewing club, every Wednesday, at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. respectively. There are also the monthly programs, including Ladies Book Discussion at 3 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month, Create and Craft for the kids at 2 p.m. every third Saturday, and Beautiful Creative Crafts (formerly Crazy Crafts) for the adults at 11:30 a.m. every third Tuesday. This month, the Daisy Mountain Fire Department will be a special guest for our Create and Craft program, so it’s guaranteed to be a great time and not one to be missed.

The Library will also be having some closures this month due to holidays: the 10th for Veteran’s Day and 23rd-24th for Thanksgiving. Additionally, the monthly Teen Hangout will be moved up from the last Saturday of the month to the third Saturday, the 18th, due to Thanksgiving.

Event calendars are available at the Library and also on the Library’s web site, www.yavapailibrary.org/blackcanyon.

The Black Canyon City Community Library is located at 34701 S Old Black Canyon Hwy. and can be reached at (623) 374-5866.
