Desert Foothills Theater presents ‘Nunsense: The Mega Musical Comedy’

SCOTTSDALE – Desert Foothills Theater is bringing the hilarious Nunsense musical to the north valley, opening on Friday, Nov. 11.

DFT presents “Nunsense: The Mega Musical Comedy” Friday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 20 at Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center's Black Box Theater, 33606 N. 60th St., in Scottsdale.

Directed and choreographed by Kat Bailes with musical direction by Daniel Kurek, the musical comedy shares an entertaining story that will amuse audiences of all faiths.

When the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook (Sister Julia, Child of God) has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, they are in dire need of funds for the burials. They decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show. So they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production, and mayhem ensues.

Performances take place Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 2 p.m. There is also a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Nov. 19. Adult Tickets range from $26 to $32.50. Youth Tickets are $16 to $21.
