DMFD offering CPR/First Aid training

NEW RIVER – The Daisy Mountain Fire Department is offering CPR and First Aid training, starting Thursday, Nov. 6.
The CPR class on Nov. 6, 6-10 p.m., will cover CPR and AED for the community and workplace, utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. Completion of this course requires students to demonstrate proficiency on mannequins while on the floor. Register online for this class at

Each class costs $25; classes are free for DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers. The class formats are partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Participants who satisfactorily complete the course will receive a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required, and space is limited.
