‘Honoring American Heroes’ concert to be narrated by distinguished former POW
NORTH VALLEY – ProMusica Arizona’s patriotic tribute concert will be narrated by retired USAF Colonel Thomas H. Kirk, Jr. ‘Honoring American Heroes,’ which runs Oct. 16, 17, and 18 in three locations, will feature patriotic, meaningful selections by the PMAZ orchestra and chorale.
Col. Kirk was captured after being shot down over North Vietnam in 1967 and spent five and a half years as a POW in the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison camp. A true American hero, he was released in 1967 after the conflict’s end, and was awarded the Air Force Cross and numerous other commendations.
‘Honoring American Heroes’ will be performed Friday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 9205 E. Cave Creek Rd, Carefree; Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Boulder Creek High School Performing Arts Center, 40404 N. Gavilan Peak Pkwy, Anthem; and Sunday, Oct. 18 at 3 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church of Sun City, 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City.
Tickets to each concert are priced at $20 for adults, $17.50 for seniors (60+), $12 for students 16-22 years old, and children 15 and younger are free with a paid adult. Free student rush tickets will be available 15 minutes before each performance, based on availability.
