Dreamchaser Horse Rescue relocating to Missouri
Staff Report~ 10/8/2014
NEW RIVER – Dreamchaser Horse Rescue is moving from New River to Falcon, Mo.
Founded in 2002, the horse rescue began as a shelter for horses and foals that had been kept by the prescription drug industry for the production of Premarin, which uses pregnant mare urine. Dreamchaser expanded to take in other abandoned and abused animals that needed a safe and loving home.
The horse rescue is relocating so that the horses can benefit from the cooler climate of southwest Missouri, as well as live on a much larger ranch of 81 acres. Dreamchaser founder Susan Thompson will be relocating with the horses and will continue the work of the Dreamchaser ranch at the new location. Some workers in Arizona will continue administrative duties associated with the rescue.
The move is planned for Oct. 27. The ranch will be listed on the real estate market in the next several weeks. For more information, see http://dreamchaserhorserescue.rescuegroups.org/.
