Outlets at Anthem Christmas tree to be delivered on Oct. 20

ANTHEM – Are you feeling the Christmas spirit yet? The Outlets at Anthem is already getting ready for Christmas, with the delivery of the state’s tallest fresh-cut tree scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20, starting at 6:30 a.m.

While setting up a Christmas tree in October seems a little early, a lot of preparation goes into getting the tree ready for lighting. According to Outlets representatives, when the tree arrives, it will take a 10-person team more than 120 hours over two weeks using mobile cranes to shape and decorate the 22-foot-wide tree. A total of 80 strands of LED lights stretching 8,000 feet and more than 5,000 ornaments and bows will decorate the tree, along with a three-foot-tall copper star at the top. When the tree is fully decked out, it will weigh over four tons.

Stop by the outlet mall and see the arrival of the iconic tree; a viewing station will be set up for visitors.
This year’s tree arrival celebration will include a hot chocolate station, carolers, the unveiling of a LEGO tree village, and a special visit from Santa.

The 15th annual tree lighting ceremony will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12. The host for the ceremony hasn’t yet been announced.
