Public Safety Expos to be held in Black Canyon City and Anthem

NORTH VALLEY – Two free Public Safety Expos are being offered this month, one in Black Canyon City on Oct. 7 and one in Anthem on Oct. 14. Both expos take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

These expos are hosted by Daisy Mountain Fire Department and other community organizations. Attendees can see fire engines, a ladder truck, sheriff’s vehicles, and a helicopter. Live demonstrations of a simulated car fire and extrication will be featured.

The Black Canyon City event this Saturday will be held at the Black Canyon Fire Station, 35050 Old Black Canyon Hwy. Attendees will have the chance to tour the fire station and watch safety demonstrations. HonorHealth will be on-hand to discuss healthy living practices. Arizona Game and Fish Department will be discussing OHV safety information at the event, as well. A food vendor tent will be on-site.

On Oct. 14, the Anthem event will be held at the Anthem Community Park. The event includes Daisy Mountain Fire Department and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office demonstrations, including a K9 demonstration and SWAT. HonorHealth and the Phoenix Herpetological Society will be on-site. Food trucks will be available, too.
