Anthem P.E.O. gives educational grant to college student

ANTHEM – The Philanthropic Educational Organization of Anthem has awarded an education grant and loan to north Phoenix resident Stephanie Derron. An elementary education major, Derron will complete her master’s degree at Northern Arizona University next spring.

Philanthropic Educational Organizations exist throughout North America. These P.E.O.s promote educational opportunities for women, working as an international sisterhood of women striving to make a difference in women's lives with six philanthropies that include assisting women with grants and loans for higher education. The Anthem P.E.O. chapter was formed in 2005 and has over 35 active members who meet bimonthly for business and social meetings and to raise funds for projects and meet with other members.

Qualified women can receive grants and loans for their education through P.E.O. For more information on this, see www.peointernational.org.
