EPCOR employee receives Living Water Award
ANTHEM – Jeff Harrison, field service representative in EPCOR’s Anthem district, has received the National Association of Water Companies’ Living Water Award.
Harrison is the first EPCOR USA employee to receive the Living Water Award, which recognizes exemplary private water professionals who are “living water” through their commitment to quality, service, and community. The program was established by NAWC in 2012.

“Providing top-notch customer service is at the center of what we do, and that can be challenging at times,” Gysel continued. “Jeff recognizes the value of relationships and helping our customers at every touchpoint, and this award recognizes the value of that approach and Jeff’s work. Recognized for his years of work in EPCOR’s local district, Harrison has responded to more than 730 service calls each month in the last six years. Recently, Harrison noticed that a 6-inch reclaimed water meter providing irrigation to a local park was not recording water usage. After testing the meter and finding nothing wrong with it, Harrison discovered that the meter had never been entered into the billing system and millions of gallons of unaccounted for water had been passing through the meter each month since the park had originally opened in 2000. With the meter now in the billing system, Harrison drew on his customer service experience and relationship with the community homeowner’s association to help them plan and budget for the future. His work eased a challenging transition for the customer and helped the company solve millions of gallons of unaccounted for reclaimed water.
“Providing exceptional customer service sometimes means working with the community through potentially contentious situations,” said Michael Deane, NAWC executive director. “But because Jeff had already established a positive reputation and productive working relationship with his customers he was able to navigate the matter with integrity while benefitting his company. This type of work ethic and attitude embodies the qualities of a Living Water Award recipient, and Jeff is certainly deserving of this recognition.”
