Agencies offering flood recovery assistance

Staff Report~ 9/3/2014

NEW RIVER – Red Cross volunteers and representatives from multiple government agencies spent Aug. 28 and 29 at a Flood Recovery Information Center, set up at the Daisy Mountain Fire Station #141. Maricopa County opened this center to help residents affected by the flash flooding on Aug. 19.

Residents who attended the center received information on flood recovery efforts and which government agencies to contact for specific issues.

Those who need help and could not visit the flood recovery center can call the county at (602) 273-1411. Local residents are also assisting with flood recovery; for more information, search New River Flood Help on Facebook.
