Police incident resolved without injuries
PHOENIX – A police incident in the area of the Emery Henderson trailhead on W New River Rd. was safely resolved on the afternoon of Aug. 16, after several hours of police presence in the area.
Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes reported that Phoenix Police responded to the desert area in search of a male subject who was threatening harm to himself.
“After several hours, we were able to locate the subject and we were successful in convincing him to surrender to police. The man was not harmed,” Holmes said.
Daisy Mountain Fire Department also responded to the area and provided information to residents via social media. The department asked residents to stay clear of the area and not approach the emergency vehicles during the police situation.
