County Board appoints new constable to Desert Ridge Precinct
PHOENIX – The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has appointed Chris Wible as constable for the Desert Ridge precinct. Supervisor Andy Kunasek, District 3, made the nomination, and the vote was unanimous.
Wible is currently Commander of the Special Forces Posse for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. He has completed 72 hours of firearms training, and has three years of patrol experience as a member of the posse.
“I have known Chris Wible for many years,” said Supervisor Andy Kunasek. “He has a great deal of law enforcement training that will be invaluable to the community, and I’m sure he will serve the area with dignity.”
Wible will fill the position until the end of the year. Voters will select a constable in the November election for a term beginning in January.
The Desert Ridge Precinct includes the Black Mountain area. The constables of Maricopa County serve Orders of Protection, Summons, Subpoenas and Writs of the Court such as evictions and property seizures.
