Diamond Canyon choir receives GOLD rating at national festival

ANTHEM – The Diamond Canyon School 7th and 8th grade choir continue to wow audiences everywhere they go.

Over the weekend of May 15-17, 31 singers from Diamond Canyon School attended the National World Strides Heritage Music Festival in Anaheim, Calif. The Diamond Canyon 7th and 8th grade choir continued their successful yearly journey to nationals by achieving a GOLD rating (highest rating) from all three national judges. Diamond Canyon had a solid finish of third place against middle schools from all over our nation. Great job, DC Choir!

Yearly at the festival, a special award, ‘When You Wish,’ is presented to one student who has overcome great odds to achieve success in school and demonstrates strong community involvement. The award is presented on stage at Disneyland's Frontierland outdoor theater. Out of the over 1,000 musicians in attendance, Ginger Otero of Diamond Canyon won the award. Congratulations to Ginger!
