YCSO seeking suspects in burglary in Black Canyon City
BLACK CANYON CITY – On May 16, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the Javalina Crossing Saloon in the 34000 block of S. Old Black Canyon Highway, in Black Canyon City, regarding a burglary. It was estimated the break-in occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. that morning.
According to a news release from YCSO, the owner of the saloon reported that unknown suspects forcibly entered the business and stole a karaoke music system, undisclosed amount of cash, and security system equipment. It appeared the suspects had prior knowledge of the saloon’s layout, based on the type of items stolen. Employees indicated suspicious persons were seen near the saloon the prior day and may be involved. These leads were documented for further investigation. The point of entry was likely through a space created after a wall-mounted air conditioner was removed in the office.
Detectives and evidence technicians were notified, conducted an on-site investigation and recovered evidence. Detectives are seeking anyone with information regarding the suspects in this burglary and/or the whereabouts of stolen property.
