Big Splash Water Park to begin full summer hours on May 28
ANTHEM – Get ready to make a splash this summer! The Big Splash Water Park at the Anthem Community Center will be open for full summer hours starting on Saturday, May 28.
The water park is already open on weekends. Hours will be expanded to Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m., and Sunday: 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. The water park’s summer hours will run May 28-Aug. 7. Holiday hours will apply on certain days; on Memorial Day, the water park will be open 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. On July 3, aquatics will close at 3 p.m. in preparation for the Anthem Independence Day celebration. The water park is open only to Anthem residents and their guests.
The Big Splash Water Park is best known for the gigantic red bucket that pours out over 200 gallons of water every four minutes. The water park also features two water slides, a play structure, and plenty of room for playing in the water.
Designated eating areas have been set up to help keep the aquatics center clean and safe. The eating areas are adjacent to and to the west of the Big Splash Water Park and the Lap Pool. All food, including snacks and drinks, must be contained in these areas. Water is permitted throughout all outdoor areas. Coolers are permitted at the water park but need to be brought through the main Community Center entrance. Community Center staff will check coolers for glass containers or alcoholic beverages, both of which are prohibited in the aquatics center.
