Lobsterfest draws crowd of over 200 residents for fun dinner in the park

NEW RIVER – The New River Kiwanis’ annual Lobsterfest was a huge hit this year, drawing over 200 people for scrumptious food and lots of fun.

The Lobsterfest featured multiple raffle prizes, including the ‘Cart of Cheer,’ won by Eileen Schiavello. These raffles helped support the community work of the New River Kiwanis, which offers fun family events like Lobsterfest, maintains the New River Kiwanis Community Park where Lobsterfest is located, and assists the New River Senior Center. All profits from Lobsterfest will benefit the Community Park or local schools.

The Kiwanis Club of New River offered thanks to everyone who enjoyed the annual Lobsterfest and says they hope to see you and a friend at next year’s event. Kiwanis also thanked Teen Challenge AZ for their help and Westgate Kiwanis members who joined the fun and lent a helping hand.

Lobsterfest attendees enjoyed themselves so much, they were already planning next year’s event. Don’t miss next May’s Lobsterfest – and in the meantime, keep updated on what’s going with the New River Kiwanis by joining the club. If you’re interested in joining, call Tony at (623) 465-5802.
