YMCA holding ‘Healthy Kids Day,’ April 25

SCOTTSDALE – The Desert Foothills Family YMCA is inviting community families to ‘Healthy Kids Day,’ Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

This free community event will offer activities to inspire kids to keep their minds and bodies active, as part of the YMCA’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for kids and families. This year's event will feature interactive games and a bounce house. 

Presentations featuring summer camp themes, will also take place by Wild at Heart Raptors sanctuary, the Phoenix Herpetological Society, and the Phoenix Zoo, including a hands-on experience with various animals and reptiles. Desert Foothills Family YMCA will also be waiving their joining fee (regularly $100) on Healthy Kids Day for memberships.  Facility members are eligible for discounts on their summer programs.
