Presidential Preference Election to be held March 22
NORTH VALLEY – The lead-up to the presidential race has been especially intense this election season, and now Arizona voters will be making their voices heard when ballots are cast in the state’s Presidential Preference Election on March 22.
Early ballots for the PPE went out at the end of last month. The Arizona Secretary of State’s office has advised voters to return completed early ballots via mail as soon as possible to reduce the time it takes counties to process ballots after the election. Early ballots can also be dropped off at polling places within the voter’s county on the day of the election.
Voters who cast their ballots on the day of the PPE will need to present identification to vote. To see a list of acceptable IDs, go online to www.azsos.gov/elections/voting-election. Voters must be registered as Republicans or Democrats to vote in the PPE; those registered as Independents are not eligible to vote in this election.
