Fry’s to open new Dove Valley store on March 31

3/15/17

PHOENIX – North valley shoppers will soon have a new grocery option. The newest Fry’s Marketplace opens at Dove Valley Rd. and North Valley Pkwy. on Friday, March 31.

On March 31 at 7 a.m., Fry’s will celebrate the store’s grand opening. Local dignitaries, community partners, and Fry’s management will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony later that same morning.

“We can’t wait to welcome our customers into another great Marketplace store,” said Fry’s President Steve McKinney in a news release. “Not only will you find the fresh food and excellent customer service that we’re known for, but shopping at this Fry’s will be a foodie experience, as well.”

The new Fry’s Marketplace Store is 128,209 square feet. Store amenities will include a wine bar, a full-service sushi station, and an expanded selection of natural, gluten-free, and organic products throughout the store. The store will also include an apparel department, featuring name-brand clothing, shoes, and accessories. An in-store Starbucks will be featured, as well, and will open daily at 5 a.m.

Other store specialties include a grilling station in the meat department, at which customers can select steak, sausages, and more, and Fry’s meat department will grill it for them. A Murray’s Cheese shop will feature an array of cheeses from around the world. A chef-inspired bistro will include seasonal offerings, rotisserie chicken, salad bar, olive/anti-pasta bar, and more.

The new store will include a solar PowerParasol shaded-parking structure, an innovative solar shade structure. The PowerParasol is anticipated to provide approximately 37 percent of the store’s power, and is the third PowerParasol to be installed at a Fry’s Marketplace store.

The store will also include a Fuel Center, with nine pumping stations that can service up to 18 vehicles at a time. The Fuel Center will be open 24 hours a day.

ClickList, the popular online grocery ordering system, will be available at the new Fry’s; the service will be live on April 7. Shoppers can make their shopping lists at frysfood.com/clicklist, select a pick-up time/date and place their orders (including same day service, if desired). At pickup time, shoppers just need to drive to the store, and an associate will deliver their purchases.

The Dove Valley Fry’s will be managed by Lucy Wienshienk, who has been with Fry’s for 23 years, serving in various leadership roles, including store manager.

“I’m excited to be part of the next community Fry’s will be moving into! My team of more than 300 associates and I will make sure every customer has a shopping experience that makes them come see us again and again,” said Wienshienk. “Our store will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. We invite you to celebrate our grand opening with us and see your beautiful new neighborhood store – there’s a lot to love.”
