Desert Hills fire destroys two structures

DESERT HILLS – Two structures were destroyed in a fire in Desert Hills on Monday.

Captain Dave Wilson of the Daisy Mountain Fire Department reported that the fire was “fully involved” by the time the first DMFD truck, which came from three-quarters of a mile away, arrived on the scene.

“The fire was isolated to a travel trailer and a 20' storage container,” Wilson said. “Efforts were concentrated on keeping the fire from spreading to other buildings and neighboring properties.”

DMFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire.

“No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation,” Wilson said.
