Desert Foothills Theater presents ‘Unnecessary Farce’
SCOTTSDALE – Join Desert Foothills Theater for the upcoming production ‘Unnecessary Farce’, as the crew brings the hilarious play to life.
Desert Foothills Theater, a division of the Foothills Community Foundation, will present ‘Unnecessary Farce, starting on Friday, Feb. 3 and running through Sunday, Feb. 12 at Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center's Black Box Theater, in north Scottsdale.
Directed by Eric Schoen, this comical play takes place in two adjoining cheap motel rooms, where an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room next door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there's some confusion as to who's in which room, who's being videotaped, who's taken the money, who's hired a hit man, what the heck is that Scotsman saying, and why does the accountant keep taking off her clothes?
Performances take place Feb. 3, 4, 10, and 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 5, 11, and 12 at 2 p.m. Adult tickets range from $26 to $32.50. Youth tickets are $16 to $21.
