YCSO offering $500 cash reward for credit card fraud suspect

CORNVILLE –  Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $500 cash reward for tips leading to the arrest of a suspect who has been linked to a credit card theft amounting to approximately $30,000.

Around November 20, 2017, a credit card was stolen unknowingly to the credit card holder from a Cornville mailbox near the 1500 block of south Koch Ranch Road; subsequently purchases were made on the card from the time it was stolen through the later part of December.  The victim was notified about the purchases after the credit card company requested payment, according to YCSO.

The suspect allegedly made more than 150 purchases throughout Verde Valley and Prescott.  Some of the fraudulent purchases were conducted in several Cottonwood businesses including, Walgreen’s, Fry’s Market, Walmart, and JC Penny, said law enforcement officials.

The YCSO investigation uncovered surveillance videos where the suspect is seen using the victims stolen card, and is seen on several different videos wearing a dark colored hat with a light colored emblem on it.  YCSO is describing the suspect as a White or Hispanic male between the age of 20-35, 125-165 pounds, 5’ 7” in height, with brownish colored hair and maybe facial hair along his jaw line.  He has also been seen pushing a young child in a stroller, possibly 2-6 years-old.
