One person injured in house fire in Anthem

ANTHEM – One person sustained serious burn injuries in a house fire on Hickok Ct. in Anthem on the night of Jan. 11. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Daisy Mountain Fire Department Battalion Chief Dave Wilson said via email that responding units were dispatched at approximately 10 p.m. on the night of Jan. 11. Wilson noted that initial reports were that there were three people trapped inside the structure but that all occupants were able to self extricate.

“One male patient was flown to Maricopa Medical Burn Center with significant burn injuries,” Wilson said. “No other injuries were reported.”

Crews worked quickly to get the fire extinguished, and Wilson said loss was limited to a bedroom, bathroom, and upstairs hallway.
