The Arizona Fine Art EXPO, (EXPO) featuring more than 100 studios filled with artists working on their art, gets under way Jan. 19 and will run through April 1 at the southwest corner of Scottsdale and Jomax Roads in North Scottsdale.
The show features paintings, charcoals, and pastels, etchings, rapidograph pen cross-hatching, drawings, photography, stone, copper, clay, wood, metal sculptures, bronzes, jewelry, wood sculpting, stone carving, furniture and more.
Art being created will be for sale. Commissions also will be welcomed.
The event supports the American Healing Arts Foundation, which offers veterans the chance to take art classes throughout the expo’s ten-week run. Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury, along with other issues remain high for both wounded and uninjured soldiers returning from service.
Art has proven to be a form of therapy for many veterans, giving them a chance to witness their own creative side while having a chance to reunite with fellow veterans in a peaceful environment. The EXPO is donating one dollar out of every $10 season pass sold to the American Healing Arts Foundation.
Open daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., a one-time season pass is available for adults for $10 with seniors and military obtaining entry for $8.
Passes can be purchased ahead of time at 480-837-7163 or at the gate. For information about the event go to or call 480-837-7163. Parking for the event is free.
The Art EXPO is located at 26540 N. Scottsdale Road.
